Miriam L. Fishman
Dr. Miriam Fishman is a non-invasive cardiologist with additional board certifications in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. She has expertise in treatment of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease and arrhythmia with a special interest in prevention. She is particularly interested in women’s heart disease across the age spectrum, from cardiovascular disease of pregnancy to cardio-oncology.
A native of the Washington DC area, Dr Fishman attended Yale University as an
undergraduate. She attended New York University School of Medicine where she received an award for Humanism in Medicine, which reflects her style of practice today. She did her residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and returned to DC for her cardiology fellowship at George Washington.
