Barry S. Talesnick
He received his degree from New York Medical College and completed his residency training at the Washington Hospital Center.He completed his cardiology training at the University of Maryland Hospital.He is also a licensed pharmacist and board certified in nuclear medicine.His areas of expertise include clinical cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine.
Miriam L. Fishman
Dr. Miriam Fishman is a non-invasive cardiologist with additional board certifications in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. She has expertise in treatment of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease and arrhythmia with a special interest in prevention. She is particularly interested in women’s heart disease across the age spectrum, from cardiovascular disease of pregnancy to cardio-oncology.A native of the Washington DC area, Dr Fishman attended Yale University as an undergraduate. She attended New York University School of Medicine where she received an award for Humanism in Medicine, which reflects her style of practice today. She did her residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and returned to DC for her cardiology fellowship at George Washington.
Joseph A. Vassallo
He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his residency at the New England Medical Center at Tufts University.He completed his cardiology training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.His areas of expertise include clinical cardiology, arrhythmia evaluation, and internal medicine.
Jaclyn Turet
Jacki graduated from the University of Virginia’s Family Nurse Practitioner Graduate Program after working as a nurse for over five years in a variety of settings including emergency/trauma, post-anesthesia care, public health, and maternal child health at GW University Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, Inova, and Sibley Memorial Hospital. Jacki has a particular interest in lifestyle medicine, using diet, exercise, and lifestyle modification to prevent and mitigate chronic disease. She is a strong believer in the intersection of the mind and body and the importance of taking the time to listen to each patient to better understand his/her life context to more completely address the whole person more effectively. She is passionate about empowering patients to take the driver’s seat in taking charge of their own health.
